Matei Arnăutu

Born in 1978 in Bucharest, Romania, Matei Arnăutu is a graduate of the National University of Arts Bucharest (UNArte) at the painting department. Throughout time, the artist participated in several solo and group exhibitions organized by private galleries, cultural centres or public museums, such as Cultural Center “Brâncoveneşti Palace”, Mogoşoaia; National Museum of Art, Bucharest; National Museum of the Peasant, Bucharest, Romania. In his exhibitions, Matei Arnăutu developed a fascination towards conceptual art objects, found objects and minimalist esthetics, creating site-specific installations. Works by the artist can be found in private collections. Since 2012, is represented by Anaid Art Gallery.
