The exhibition can be visited from 21 May to 19 June 2023, from Wednesday to Sunday between 09:00 and 17:00 in the Conference Hall of the Nicolae Minovici Museum, 1 Dr. Nicolae Minovici Street. The exhibition project "Dream on" is supported by Anaid Art Gallery in partnership with the Museum of Bucharest.

Raluca Arnăutu is a graduate of the Faculty of Graphic Design at the University of Arts in Bucharest. In the last ten years, her main interest, collage and site-specific textile installations, has led her on an international exhibition path, being invited to large group or solo exhibitions in art centres, museums and galleries in France, Germany, Italy and Hungary. In 2021, a large-scale textile installation was created and integrated into the exhibition "Aqua. La Vie dans L'eau" at the Musée Thomas Henry in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, France.

The new series of collages, created between 2021 and 2023 and presented in the solo exhibition 'Dream on', continues the artist's formal and interpretative concerns in a surreal, dreamlike manner. The more than 35 collages explore the dream world populated by imaginary characters living among trees and psychedelic plants from distant galaxies. With each solo exhibition, Raluca Arnăutu proposes a new way of interpreting and exploring our inner world - our experiences, feelings, fears and desires. A world created from scraps of paper, textiles, pieces of plastic, found or made objects that, like a jigsaw puzzle, create a universe full of colour and mystery.

Raluca Arnăutu writes about this new series: "When dreams envelop us and turn our images upside down, then the illusion of a distorted reality intervenes, in which places, objects, states, emotions, the five elements, have the ability to subtly mix and take on a unique, fluid form. Sometimes sorrow is followed by joy, and love is transformed into colours".
On Museum Day, Thursday 18 May 2023, as part of the "Dream on" exhibition, artist Matei Arnăutu will exhibit a site-specific video projection entitled "Sunset".
