The exhibition can be visited from 2 June until 30 June 2023, from Wednesday till Sunday between 10:00 and 18:00 at Filipescu – Cesianu House – Museum of Ages – Calea Victoriei 151, Bucharest. The exhibition project "Condition: Inside Out" is supported by Anaid Art Gallery in partnership with the Museum of Bucharest.

Alina Aldea is a University of Art Bucharest graduate, Faculty of Sculpture. In recent years, her major preoccupation with site-specific installations and drawing has led her to a recurrent questioning of the evolution and intertwining of art and science. The paradigm of a contemporary man surrounded by technology leads to a new system of thinking, a new language of creation and communication.

By invoking an organic, network-like structure, the exhibition space in the attic of the Filipescu Cesianu House is transformed into a giant laboratory. The sculptural forms of braids, feathers and netting create an amorphous mass of objects visitors can wander at will. The entire exhibition will be accompanied by sound and vocal background performed by Group 1111 (Lumi Mihai and Mugur Grosu) on texts written by Alina Aldea.

The exhibition project "Condition: Inside Out" proposes a network of interwoven objects of varying sizes, which will create a game between the idea of organic and rational, between natural and artificial, and between fact and fiction. The exhibition is built on "organically broken" mathematical laws, and space becomes a network of objects.

The weightlessness of the woven sculptural elements, made of textile materials, enhances sensory and tactile sensations, thus amplifying the power of perception.

Developing a program, which exudes a personal and unique touch in the area of site-specific installations in Romania, Alina Aldea has participated in major international events such as the Contemporary Art Biennale Mdina, Malta in 2020; Arte Laguna Prize Venice in 2018 or the Venice International Festival of Experimental Art in 2016. Works signed by the artist can be found in the permanent collection of MNAC - National Museum of Contemporary Art and essential public and private collections in the country and abroad. Alina Aldea has been represented by Anaid Art Gallery Bucharest/Berlin since 2019.
